Trip South

It was with a sad heart that we left Manitowoc on July 31. Miss family and friends. But it was time to move on to our new home, at least for the next year. We took our time going down making several stops.

One stop was in Clarksville TN where Megan had a friend. They planned a meet up at the local Mickey D’s.

The girls had a good visit. First time they had met face to face. And we had a nice visit with her mother. They were both very nice.
Our second stop was in Alabama. Cullman AL to be correct. There we stayed two nights.
We had arranged to meet Jane’s nephews but first we went to Trade Day (big outdoor rummage sale.
They have anything you can think of for sale including puppies.

Then we met up with Jane’s nephews at the local Cracker Barrel. Had a great visit. Hadn’t seen them in nine years since the last time we were down south.

In all it was a pretty good trip. Some bad traffic here and there. But not bad. And then we stopped at the Florida welcome center.

Next stop was our new home in Port Charlotte. More to come.
