Here in Costa Rica

We arrived in Costa Rica on Wednesday around 4:30. It was a breeze going through customs, which was nice. After we collected our bags our ride was outside waited for us. That is aways a good start. It took about an hour to get from the airport in Liberia to Playa Flamingo where we will be staying for the next 3 months.

The only real problem we had is that, things are not within walking distance as advertised. Oh you can walk there. To a small grocery store is about a mile. Beach about a mile. But in the heat and having to walk on the road, then having to carry the groceries back wasn’t going to work for us. So we had to rent a car. Great deal just like in Ireland, $8.00 a day for the car and then another $800 for the insurance for a month. But now we can travel all over CR if we want. Other that that we really like the house and location. And already found a great spot to go to eat on the beach

More to come

As we have -35 degrees with the wind chill, your photos are so beautiful! Hope that you are enjoying the warm sun 🙂

    • That is way to cold Connie. Like it better here. The weather never changes sunny and hot everyday. Little boring. Would like to see a good thunderstorm once.

Oops I meant Costa Rica and please let us know about the cost of living there also.

    • Suzie. Cost of living is less then the states but something’s are more here. Medicine is a little higher that Ecuador but still way cheaper than US. And they have a lot of traditional American food here along with Costa Ricon dishes. We keep you updated as we find out. Thanks

Like Panama’s looks much more than Crucita. Are the rents about the same or more. I think your blog is very informative and your thoughts are right on.

    • Yes Suzie it is much nicer in Here in Playa Flamingo then in Crucita. That’s for the comments
