Crucita Back to Normal (for now)
Crucita is back to the quiet fishing village it was when we first arrived. The holidays are done and it is back to the normal activities. As they say–
THE PARTY IS OVER
All the holiday vacationers have left, the fireworks are over and the parties are done. The fisherman are back out fishing and bringing in Sailfish, Sharks and Mahi Mahi (Dorado) again. Even the pelicans are back diving. They have been flying over before but weren’t diving for fish, which I assume was because their weren’t any. Don’t know if it was because of the extremely high tide we were having or what. Even all the stray dogs are back.
But the tides are back to normal high and low levels. And it seems the fish are back too. Especially the Dorado. They have been bringing a bunch of them. Some really big ones too. Which they really don’t like, not as tender.
It is good to have the quiet Crucita back again. We’re getting to old for late night parties. So it is a good thing we are leaving here at the beginning of February. Because Carnival starts on February 15. That is a national holiday here in Ecuador. So once again Crucita will go from the picture on the left to the one on the right which is from a past Carnival here in Crucita. Right picture is from ecuadorbeachfront property.com.
